What happened to the old skyblock.bingo?
The old skyblock.bingo went down in 2024 and the domain eventually expired, so I registered it. I messaged the original owner on Discord before launching to let him know, but didn't hear back — his last message in the community, back in April 2024, mentioned he'd put the site on ice but would love for others to build on it, which is the spirit I'm trying to build in.
This isn't a takeover of his site; it's a new build from scratch, aiming to capture what made bingo fun — the competition, the crazy achievements people do — while keeping the spirit of the original.
How does this site store my data?
The site stores two things: small dismissal cookies remembering which one-time notices and tips you've closed (like the "About this site" notice), so they don't keep popping up, and each searched player's public Hypixel bingo stats (points, completed goals), which power the leaderboard and player pages. The site doesn't track or analyze anything beyond that — no analytics, no ads. If you want your cached stats removed from the site, DM me on Discord (godwyyn) or email .
How are seasons in Tryhard/Hall of Bingo determined?
Each season covers 12 bingos and lines up with a calendar year — Season 1 is Jan-Dec 2022, Season 2 is Jan-Dec 2023, and so on. Extreme/Secret bingos bring the biggest turnout, and they happen to land in December, so each season ends there instead of mid-event.
How are skill weights determined?
Every tracked entry (Hall of Bingo or Tryhard) is hand-tagged with the skill(s) it best represents (Combat, Mining, Farming, Foraging, Fishing, Dungeons, or Quests). Some are obvious (Necron's Handle has weight 1 in Dungeons); some less so (Highest Avg Skill Lvl splits evenly across Combat, Mining, Foraging, and Farming). If you have strong opinions, let me know.
